Screensaver won't engage

I have lots of the wincustomize & stardock programs running on my computer.
For some reason, since the install of all these programs, my screensaver has stopped engageing.
I have checked the settings under windows properties and it still shows the screensaver as 'applied' but it won't kick in.
Is there something specific in one of the WC or SD programs that I need to change?

Any advice on what I can check would be great.

In my busy schedule, I was AFK and my Screensaver loaded just by not starting those. I was shocked.

Congrats!

NOW... When I reboot, it tells me I'm booting in a custom mode and wants to know if I want to change back to normal.

There should be a check box to ignore that. I can't reboot right now to check.

To get rid of that message you have to reactivate the items in msconfig and remove the items othervise. You can remove them manually from the registry if you feel comfortable doing so, or you can use a third party utility like FreshUI to edit your startup list.
FreshUI http://www.freshdevices.com/freshui.html lets you tweak alot of other features in Windows as well so it's quite handy. It'll ask you to register, but it's free. I've had it for years and I've never gotten any spam from them.
